This all began simply, with a mom who wanted to share her love of art, culture and language with her child. However, while parents are always striving to teach their children more, we sometimes find that there are a lack of resources to do so. The vision of Dooleyglot Books is to provide parents a tool that will aid in their children’s multi-lingual education. Before our children can grow up to explore and discover the world, they must first take the required baby steps toward understanding it. This is where Dooleyglot Books comes in and helps close the gap.
About The Artist
Mison Kim is an exhibiting artist and illustrator. Her intricate drawings and paintings have garnered her quite a following and her years as a fashion illustrator, a motif and pattern designer for clients such as Tory Burch, Talbots, and Aeropostale among many others, has proven her unmatched skills over and over again.
Mison has more recently turned her attention to children’s book illustration. As a mother in a two—language household, she found the bilingual books that are available lacking and so began her pursuit of something more in line with her sensibilities. She insists upon a clarity of design where color and pattern strike a particular balance that serves to keep her books fresh, exciting and challenging while maintaining a clear focus on the subject at hand.
Mison Kim is a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She lives and works just north of New York city, in Greenville, New York.
